This apple crisp recipe was passed down from my Grandma, and I’ve added my own twist to make it even more special. Top it with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream and a swirl of salted caramel sauce for an extra touch of deliciousness!

Ingredients
6Granny Smith applescored and sliced into ¼” thick wedges
2Tbspgranulated sugar
1 3/4tspground cinnamon, divided
1Tbsplemon juice
2Tbspcorn starch
1cuplight brown sugar
3/4cupold fashioned oats
3/4cupall-purpose flour
1/2cupcold unsalted butter cut into small cubes
pinch of kosher salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Butter an 8×8 baking dish or spray it with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped apples with granulated sugar, 3/4 tsp of cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Stir until well combined, then transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
In a separate mixing bowl, prepare the topping. Combine brown sugar, oats, flour, the remaining 1 tsp of cinnamon, salt, and diced cold butter. Use a pastry cutter, two forks, or your hands to cut the butter into the mixture until it resembles pea-sized crumbs.
Spread the topping evenly over the apples in the baking dish and gently pat it down.
Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
