Homemade Apple Turnover

- 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets)
- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 egg, beaten for brushing
Thaw the Puff Pastry: Let it sit out while you prepare the filling.
Cook the Filling: In a pan, cook diced apples with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until soft.
Prepare the Pastry: Cut the pastry into squares and place a spoonful of apple mixture in the center of each square.
Fold and Seal: Fold each square into a triangle and press the edges with a fork.
Brush with Egg Wash: Brush each turnover with beaten egg.
Bake: Place on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F until golden and puffy.
