Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg, beaten for brushing

Instructions

  • Thaw the Puff Pastry: Let it sit out while you prepare the filling.
  • Cook the Filling: In a pan, cook diced apples with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until soft.
  • Prepare the Pastry: Cut the pastry into squares and place a spoonful of apple mixture in the center of each square.
  • Fold and Seal: Fold each square into a triangle and press the edges with a fork.
  • Brush with Egg Wash: Brush each turnover with beaten egg.
  • Bake: Place on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F until golden and puffy.
